Weddings at Camp Lakeside
Camp Lakeside is nestled in a canyon near Lake Scott State Park, making it a beautiful scenic location for your indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony and reception.
Our Carpenter Chapel features a high wood beam ceiling, and moveable chairs that can be arranged to seat 100 guests comfortably (120 guests maximum). The window at the front of the chapel looks toward the canyon wall, with a view of a white cross.
We can also accommodate outdoor weddings, on the lawn behind the chapel. The scenery surrounding includes Lakeside’s canyon walls, and a view of Lake Scott. Weddings can be moved into our chapel as a backup plan, should the weather not cooperate.
Many guests choose to hold their reception on our spacious lawn or inside the Schutte Lodge or Dining Hall. Please note, Camp Lakeside is an alcohol free venue.
We would love to schedule a time for you to see all Camp Lakeside has to offer for your wedding day. During a visit, you will have the opportunity to meet our staff, tour the facility/grounds, and ask any questions. We would be honored to share in making your wedding a beautiful and memorable event!
*** Though summer dates could be possible, they are limited due to our summer camp sessions. We cannot hold weddings while campers are on the grounds.

Capacities
Our Chapel seats 100 comfortably, 120 is maximum capacity. Outdoor weddings are also limited to 120 guests.
Receptions may be held in our Dining Hall with the possibility of catering. Dining Hall capacity is 100.
Receptions may also be held in our Lodge. This building has a kitchen that can be used however, capacity is closer to 50.
Amenities
The Chapel has a small sound system with microphone, large projection screen, and piano. The Chapel, Lodge and Dining Hall all have AC/heating capabilities. Handicap accessible restrooms are located in these three locations.
Parking
The Chapel Parking lot and east access road can accommodate a maximum of 50 vehicles. Absolutely NO PARKING on grassy areas. Camp access roads must remain clear for traffic. Due to limited parking, outdoor weddings are limited to 120 guests.
Restrictions
Decorations for outdoor weddings should be limited and in no way impact our natural site. Chapel decorations must be free standing and leave no permanent mark. Please respect the space so future weddings can enjoy it as much as you will. The Lakeside staff will be happy to work with you to determine what is or is not appropriate for the spaces used.
Please plan to set up no earlier than the day before your wedding and clean up the night of the wedding.
This is an alcohol, drug and smoking (cigarettes, cigars, vape pens, etc.) free site, including all buildings and the grounds. Should our staff observe the use of any of the aforementioned items or their containers (open, closed, or empty), Lakeside may remove any or ALL of the wedding party from the site immediately.
Please be respectful of the entire site. We have many other buildings on site which will be in various states of preparedness for other groups. Therefore, we ask your wedding party to remain in and close to assigned buildings.
